Resource Productivity
Resource productivity is a measure for the benefit that can be reached with a defined amount of raw or other material. It represents the economical and ecological efficiency of an activity or a product. According to our understanding resource productivity is central to a sustainable economy. Yet whereas it is a precondition for a sustainable economy, resource productivity must be augmented by other perspectives such as toxicity, effectiveness and social impacts.
